ANSWERS TO YOUR BURNING QUESTIONS
What Would You Like to Know?
WHAT IS A HOME SAFETY ASSESSMENT? WHY IS IT IMPORTANT?
A home safety assessment is an evaluation of the client's home to identify and eliminate potential hazards. With the help of an occupational therapist, a home safety assessment can lead to home improvement recommendations to increase safety and livability within the home.
Dermer Health Services, LLC uses the SAFER HOME assessment, a comprehensive, standardized test that looks at the clients ability to safely perform functional activities within their home. It is also an occupational therapy based outcome measure, developed to evaluate change in safety over time, addressing the extent to which it is a concern and identifying recommendations to reduce the safety risk.
This is an important step in providing care for the client to reduce risk of injury and help the client live independently in their own home for as long as possible.
WHAT PAYMENT METHODS DO YOU ACCEPT?
Dermer Health Services, LLC accepts cash, check, or credit card via Square. If choosing credit card, there will be a 2.75% fee added to the total for the Square fee.
